Things you need for a home, priority!

1. Bed - check (had that already).
2. Internet - check (included).
3. Sofa - check (just bought and will receive on Wednesday).
4. Curtains - I will go look for that on Sunday.
5. Wireless internet - check (bought my router today).
6. Wardrobe - half check (I have one piece but it just isn't enough, I can live with this for quite a while though).
7. Entrance storage, like hangers and shoe storage - soon I hope.
8. Table - probably next item to buy.
9. Storage furniture - like more wardrobe and some other storage units.
10. Upgrade bed - you spend a third of your life in bed; the bed you stay that time in should be great.
11. TV and TV furniture.
12. Wall hangings, painting or nice photos to put up on the walls.
13. Balcony furniture - just something to sit and relax on the balcony.
14. Gaming consoles - your mandatory PS3, Xbox 360 and Wiki.
15. Workspace and stationary computer.
16. Music system - Amplifier and speakers (this stuff costs way too much though, 3-4 years in the future perhaps?)

Buying a Sofa

I had picked out my "Karlstad" sofa, received the deposit from Gary (former flat mate) and had enough time to actually go to IKEA and buy it. So I set out in the mid afternoon with a clear goal and high spirits. However, once I had arrived at Kowloon bay IKEA and written down exactly what I wanted the woman (or I should say girl) found that they didn't have the 2-seat part frame in stock, neither did they know when they would, later it turned out that they should have gotten it last month but hadn't yet and after pushing the girl about it she guessed it would take at least another month.

So I had to consider my options; IKEA also has a sofa called "Kramfors", it is similar size and price but with a few drawbacks; 1. It doesn't come in any color that I'm looking for (closest is a dark gray), 2. It is about 15cm wide than "Karlstad", that is 15cm I don't really have and 3. It is not nearly as comfortable as "Karlstad". There is "Tylösand" from IKEA as well, this one comes in a reddish purple that is close to the brown I was looking for originally and it is only 7cm wide than "Karlstad", however this one costs 2000HKD more. Or as a final option I could look in other stores.

I set out to MEGA-BOX where they have a B n' Q, another furniture/hardware store, they didn't have many sofas to pick from though and all of them were quite bad, they did, however, have a wide selection of other interesting stuff, for later. Next we an exhibition centre near MEGA-BOX where they exhibit and sell stuff, and two floors are for furniture. Most of these are actually selling designed homes rather than separate furniture, some did though and actually the first place had these really cool luxury sofas in leather where the two side seats in a 3-seat sofa had an electronic unfolding, and these were actually price worthy; the original price ranged from 15 to 18 thousand HKD but they were mostly down to 6 to 9 thousand, e.g. within my limit. I decided against this though, it might be cool but it wouldn't really suit my home, it is something of a combination of luxury and tacky TV-comfort and it just don't go with my vision.

So after several hours of sofa searching I ended up in IKEA again and was close to buying "Kramfors" despite the negative points when another idea came up; most of IKEA's sofas are actually unit based and can be combined a little bit like you want it, this basically means that you can buy one part now and another later, and in the case of "Karlstad" it was only the 2-seat frame unit that was missing. Unfortunately the lounge part (the 'L') is an add-on and cannot be used separately, so this idea failed, but "Tylösand", which is actually slightly more comfortable than "Karlstad" suddenly became possible since I could buy a 2-seat part now and but the lounge later when I have more money.

After serious consideration I decided on "Tylösand" 2-seat unit and the footpad for it, together with a "Lack" coffee table and a knee "table" for my computer I know have what I need to survive for a while. This actually turned out cheaper than the original plan but the total cost for the sofa will be higher, e.g. today I had planned to spend about 6500HKD, or slightly more, for sofa and coffee table but finally only spent 6300HKD, I will have to buy the lounge later though for about 4000HKD more, can be much later.

A new home.

For a few nights now I have slept on the 50th (actually 44th) floor in a Tin Shui Wai Central Park Tower One. The rent started on the 1st of this month but I got 7 days for free so I got the keys on February 22nd and on the Tuesday after (which was a day off for me) Shirley (who also was not working) helped me to buy some cleaning stuff and clean the place up. Moving went really smooth, day after Janice's birthday party (last Wednesday), which really was a lot of fun by the way; I could get help from Ariel who had taken the day after the party off. A group of movers, skillfully arranged by Man, came and carried my stuff downstairs and loaded it in a truck, 45 minutes later we arrived in Tin Shui Wai and they carried my stuff up and it was done.

Since then I have visited IKEA like 5-6 times to check out furniture I want, the only thing I can actually buy is a "Karlstad" 'L'-shaped sofa which I will buy as soon as I get my salary next week. I did buy a lot of kitchen wares (IKEA has a set called "Tillaga" start set which contains most of the basics for a kitchen) and other small stuff. I have looked at stuff and drawn plans for how I want it and calculated the total price; I will probably be able to pay back Mom and my friend within a year and furnish this apartment, excluding the very important TV, stereo and game consoles that will decorate some of the furniture.

Super humid

It is actually only about 85% (it can be as high as 98% in summer I think) but the whole world seems to be covered in a shade of white mist; when I look outside my window now I can't even see the water just a few hundred meters away, and just barely make out the buildings next to me. This also affects the drying of laundry; for example I haven't had a dry towel in 4-5 days now and it gets very sweaty very quickly these days.

Anyway, last week I made my final decision to move in to that great view flat in Tin Shui Wai, I'm still not entirely certain that it is a great idea but when it comes to work and transport I will be able to save a lot of money and time. So next Sunday I will put down the deposit and the first payment (I get one week staying there for free and will have the billing date on the first of each month later), get the key and I think even stay there the first night, since I work early there on Monday morning. Then over the week I will move myself and my life from Tiu Keng Leng to Tin Shui Wai.

Unfortunately it will probably be a while until I can afford furniture, but I can live with that for a month or two I think. That time I can spend planning what furniture I will get, admittedly I'm pretty excited about moving there, my own flat. I want to say that it is the first flat I will have alone, but I did stay alone in the flat in Chengdu, maybe that isn't counted though as it was a studio apartment without kitchen, and it was furnished already so I didn't get to do that.

Work is still quite slow, as it is now both February and March is around 10000 but I haven't lost hope to fill up my Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays also, When I finally do that it should double what I make now. April will be a slow month either way I think, with Easter and a long holiday I don't have many commitments at the moment so if I don't get more it before then it will be bad, still a long time away so it should be fine.

Apartment search

I've been looking for a place nearer to my work and there is a new estate in Tin Shui Wai (where Joyce lives) that I'm extremely attracted to, it happens to have exactly the same style and very similar layout to the place I'm staying in right now. So over the last few weeks (first time was actually in early December) I went to see different flats in those buildings. There are two very different sides to the buildings; at the North side they are still building club facilities for the estate and three more towers, this won’t be complete until sometime and 2010 so living on that side pretty much sucks (once the construction is finished the higher flats should be ok as it will give a kind of sea view), on the South side however is Tin Shui Wai park and most of the flats have a really nice view of that, especially the Easternmost tower is very close to the park centre and even the lower flats there are nice.

I have basically discarded all flats on the North side despite them being slightly cheaper and when I finally got to see a bigger selection of South flats this week when I went with Shirley, one of Joyce's sisters (not to be mistaken with Almen). I saw a really awesome 3 bedroom flat, quite high and in the easternmost tower, this one is way too expensive for me though. After that I saw three other flats, all 2 bedrooms and pretty decent layout, I didn't like the last one because it is quite low and located by a busy street, it will make it pretty noisy there especially in day time. Unfortunately both the other two was lost to me before the evening was over; I found out the owner had rent the second one out already and the first one was under negotiation and if I started to bid I would just push up the price.

That's when they told me they could show me a fifth flat. So Shirley and I went back again and we went up to the 50th floor in the Easternmost building and was suddenly enchanted with this amazing view that is very hard to describe but I will try my best; just below you is a big green park that extends to a small (small as it is very far down) stadium in the East, but when you lift your eyes a little you reach above all the other buildings in the region and you realize that you have a view of the mountain range around the town. When you start looking around you realize that you have a panoramic view of the landscape stretching all the way to the sea in the West and mountains and sea in the South. And of course I got there in the evening so we got to watch how the sun was sinking down over the sea.

I want this flat! The rent is reasonable, 6500HKD for about 666sqf (70sqm), two bedrooms, a decent bathroom and a kitchen, compare with I’m paying 4500HKD now for the smaller bedroom in a similar apartment with one and a half hour travel time to work instead of 30 minutes and 10HKD instead of 60HKD per working day. The one drawback is that the kitchen is one of the smallest in this estate. However 6500HKD is just the rent, before I can rent it I must put down a deposit of two months’ rent and pay the agent one half rent for their service, this adds up to 22500HKD, which is a lot. They also want me to make a quick decision, have me put down some money (just a minor amount) to not show it to more prospectors. I don't know what to do but I know I want that flat.

The journey

My travels started early on Wednesday morning with meeting the landlord and return my keys then taking my over 30kg luggage, some 7kg backpack and a small paper bag with two gifts that was not light at all (remember this when you think of me struggling through the Hong Kong metro system later). I started off with going around Chengdu a little to say a final goodbye to Li Min and then I went off to the airport, I taxied all the way so at least I didn't have to worry too much about the luggage carrying yet. For once I was not late to the airport, which was very fortunate since I was over 10kg overweight and had to pay a 210Yuan fine to get it onboard, that was totally worth it. Once through the security I had some time so I had my breakfast, a 45yuan sandwich. Then of course I nearly missed my flight anyway (exaggeration) because I thought it was from gate 9 and delayed but it was from gate 7 and on time, but I found that out quickly enough and boarded well on time.

Two hours and another half -breakfast later we landed in Shenzhen and I decided (against better judgment) to investigate alternative means of travel to Hong Kong, it turned out to be a great idea, they have an express shuttle bus that goes all the way to Hong Kong and makes several stops and it costs only 90yuan, and to this they actually had quite good service, really helpful staff and stuff like that. So I took the bus to Hong Kong instead of dragging myself to Shenzhen and around on the metro there to get to Hong Kong and take trains and stuff there to get to Central, instead I got to Jordan, only two three stops away from Central but that was more than enough.

Getting around in a very crowded metro system in Hong Kong is troublesome enough without luggage, and with the previously mentioned luggage it is not easy at all, I did get to Central easily enough but the in town check-in I was looking for is in Hong Kong station, about 5 minutes walk (read 15 minutes with luggage) from Central, and with some minor judgmental errors I had to walk back and forth a few times and pay entrance (buy a ticket to another station) again before I finally got there.

British Airways is great actually, they have at least until November this year no fine at all for luggage under 32kg, and after that they will have a fixed fine of £25 over 23kg or something like that, which is not too much, compared to those that have like €10 per kg too much, which sucks. So I got through with my luggage without any issues and stored my hand carry there for 200HKD and was off to meet with Joyce. First I went to Mong Kok to buy my graduation gift for my cousin Sandra though, can’t tell what it is or how much it cost but it was fun to barter for and I think I got it for a fair price, and really quickly too, this was after a brief complication to exchange money first though, were I accidentally went to the stock exchange instead of the money exchange but I soon found a bank that could help me at least.

Then it was finally off to TST to meet Joyce, but since I had been so quick with everything that I got there about 30-45 minutes too early, and in that time I managed to distract myself with looking at some “name card”, a small paper card where some guy wrote a Chinese version of a western name and sold it for 25HKD, of course I couldn’t find Johan so they insisted I’d tell them my name and soon I had told them my Chinese name too and they had written it down and I had to pay the 25HKD for it. Eventually Joyce got there and met me and we went off and ha dinner with Almen and Ariel, after which they followed me to the check-in to get my hand carry and take the airport express, which I first missed because Almen insisted we should take photos together first.

So I got to the airport a little bit late, but it was OK, I was not late for the flight only had Charlotta wait for me a little there, I think she survived that with and major troubles. That was pretty cool though, a pretty much chance meeting on a big international airport with an old friend from the time back at electro engineering. This is around the point where my brain stopped working properly and I was thinking I had a bit more time than I had, so after I’d left Charlotta and gone through the security I went to wash up and stuff and I was ready just in time for when I though the gate was opening, but of course that was the time when the gate was closing, which I realized when I was walking to the gate and found the signs saying final call for my flight. I even met some ground staff urging me on to hurry there. I did (once again I have to say) get on the flight just in time, some of the attendants seemed a bit annoyed at me but they will survive too.

12 hours later I had finally seen National Treasure 2 and slept just about enough to be happy I landed in London Heathrow and struggled my way through the airport to my connecting flight and a close to 2 hour wait. £3 for half an hour internet by the gate and some rest later I boarded yet another flight and was nearing the end of my over 32 hour journey home, I tried to sleep on the plane but it even though it was 5am local time it was closer to 12pm in China and my personal time so that was basically impossible. We landed a bit early and I had to wait a bit for mom and dad to come and pick me up, and as usual they had problems finding the right terminal and which parking lot to go to but at least they finally found me and could get me home.

Around 11.30am on Thursday morning Swedish time I finally got back home, after over 32 hours of which most was spent on a BA flight between Hong Kong and London and in Hong Kong itself I was finally home. And nothing had changed, it still feels like time has been standing still since I left on August 8th 2007, almost 10 months ago.

I’m home!

Obviously

Well obviously I made the decision already since I'm in Sweden now and staying in our summer house with Alexander for a few days, I can still update a little bit about the very hectic week before and the adventures of travelling home:

I actually made my decision earlier than planned which was pretty fortunate, it turned out late enough as it was anyway, the tickets I had found back home was from Chengdu to Shenzhen for no more than 800yuan and then from Hong Kong to Copenhagen with a transfer in London for about 4500HKD, which adds up to about 4000SEK or a little bit less in Chinese Yuan. These had of course 3 days later (Wednesday two weeks ago now) gone up in price, the one from Chengdu to Shenzhen had maxed out at 1500yuan and the other one changed to around 5000HKD instead ending my price at about 5000SEK instead. I really couldn't have waited anymore or the prices would probably have doubled after that, since I really had to go home for my dad's birthday party or half the point of going home would have been wasted.

So the adventures began and I had to start packing, it was really though in the beginning, mostly I spent the first few days after my decision meeting up with some friends and say goodbye to them, I managed to squeeze in lunches and dinner just about every day and even joined a birthday party of an American friend on Friday night but after that I really had to start packing up my stuff. First I packed all my excessive clothes and blankets and stuff that I wouldn't need urgently in Sweden, all this added up to two big boxes of 11kg each which I sent to Joyce in Hong Kong so that I have some stuff already when I get there, in the high hopes of actually going there, the funniest part of this to pack was some vacuum bags that I put my blankets and pillows and some towels in, they pretty much turned hard as rocks after a few minutes of pumping, very cool. I managed to send all this on Monday, plus cancelling my apartment contract getting me some money back, getting salaries for almost all my work and still have time to meet up with friends.

Tuesday was another hectic day with loads of new problems, this time I packed stuff to send to Sweden and it soon turned out that I couldn't send some things that I really wanted to send; my magnets was in a too big box and couldn't fit in the largest box China post has for international service, I bought a bigger rice cooker for mom and dad that they refused to take because it was an electric device, the same went for my own smaller one of course, so basically the only thing I could post was soft stuff, the magnets had to stay in Chengdu with a friend there and the rice cookers went with me in my luggage. Finally I ended up sending one big box of 11kg by ship or over land and one smaller box of about 5kg by air, where I had some stuff that I wanted more urgently back in Sweden.

Another problem I ran into on Tuesday was my China Telecom deal, I had apparently signed to have Internet and telephone for 12 months, even though I was quite clear with them that I might not even stay for more than 5 months, so instead of giving me the deposit and one month's worth of internet back they wanted me to pay for two more months, this ended up with them not getting the modem back at all and me not paying or getting any money back. I also managed to get my third hepatitis B shot before I left; it's really a lot cheaper in China than in Sweden so I really had to use that opportunity.

I managed to finish up my packing and with a friends help even clean up my apartment to a pretty decent level. I had sold my oven to Aaron, an American friend, and basically given him all my kitchen supplies. Aarons also got a lot of other kitchen stuff, as did Li Min, my very close Chinese friend who helped me out a lot all my time in China and especially the last few days, and Jiao, another close Chinese friend, got some too and she also got to take my magnets for safekeeping and my router and gym membership to try to sell them.

And then on Wednesday morning my journey started so I must say goodbye Li Min, Aaron, Lily, Nicole (Yin XiaoLin), Jiao, Bella (Tingting), Luna, Kelly, Aileen, Betty, Ivy, Alon, Rabia, Anna, Vivian, Ryan, Andrew, XiangXiang, Monica (Duan Shuang), Elizabeth (Tian DanZhi), Lucille, Nicky, Lily (another Lily), Linger, Sue, Yaya, Tina, Paul and Tiffany and the other peace corps people, Linda and the other bartenders at Paname and other places and of course all the teachers in and kids in all the schools I've been working and everybody else I might have forgotten to mention.

More about the journey itself in a coming post!

Shanghai

Forth night in Shanghai now, I spent most of the weekend with Wenying and Linna, mostly eating and talking about going to a club but never really doing anything. The second day we spent walking around Fudan’s campus, they have some nice Japanese gardens but I didn’t have any camera on me so no pictures. We had once again Italian food, and as usual it is American pan pizza instead of Italian pizza, some pasta dishes that actually seemed Italian and a rice dish that was no-where near Italian, we had some tiramisu too but it wasn’t as good as the one Francesca made in Sweden. We planned to go to a club after but it was “already” 9pm so they thought it was too late (I don’t think that is too late to go out clubbing but I wasn’t in much mood for clubbing, the pasta had made my stomach a bit weird and I wasn’t too energetic) so we just went back to my hotel room and talked for a while; mostly made some plans for the third day.

The third day we spent fulfilling those plans, that is we went bowling after breakfast (read brunch) and after that we went swimming (read bathing), Linna couldn’t find any nice enough bathing suit so she went home instead, Wenying and I had a really good time playing in the great and overly crowded pool though, I managed to teach her swimming under water and even brave the deepest part of the pool (2.2m) and dive down to touch the pool-floor there. After swimming we found Linna at her dorm and went out to have Korean food, which was bulgogi but wasn’t named so, a “Korean” sweet and sour pork which was just too much like the Hong Kong sweet and sour pork to be anything but that (but really very good) and some other quite tasty dishes. Like the second day we had talked about going out to a club but always jumping between decision we finally ended up back at the hotel room instead, we did find a club just 200m from the hotel on the way back though, so we had some plan of going there but in the end I was just so annoyed that I would rather go to bed, which of course ended in a lot of bad feelings before we said goodnight. Partly my fault for acting out when I was too tired which I know I shouldn’t but sometimes can’t help anyway.

Today I met Songsong, a Chinese girl that I know from online that I also met last year when I was here with Joyce, for lunch in central Shanghai. The trip there took about an hour and was really bothering, I had slept really bad last night because of a trouble stomach and a troubled mind (over the annoyance last night) but finally found Songsong at the place we had decided for meeting about 20 minutes too late (I was there on time but you know girls…). On the metro, or subway or underground or whatever they call it here, I saw something really unnerving; it was after an interchange, that meant about 5 minutes of walking, when I got on the train and the doors was just about to close a young mom with her daughter was trying to get on the train and the mother held the girls hand but leading her in front of herself and the train doors closed between them. The little girl, perhaps 5 years old or so, was trapped on the train and the mom outside, she started screaming of course but a man took charge of her, screaming something angrily to the mother, I would guess something about irresponsibility, and tried to sooth the child at the same time as he was scolding her too. I don’t know how it resolved, just that they didn’t get off at the next station and I forgot about them when I myself was getting off at the most crowded station in all of Shanghai.

Songsong and I spent about an hour walking up and down Nanjing road to find a nice restaurant to have lunch at; she had her mind set on some that she couldn’t found and then another that she couldn’t find either. We finally found a nice place though, seemed way too luxurious but we stayed there anyway and had a really good meal. I think Chinese people really can’t order food properly, they tend to order for about twice as many people as there are, we ended up with about half of the food left over and she took some fried dumplings in a doggy bag to give to some poor homeless guy later. After lunch we walked (took train) up and down Nanjing road again and went off to look at the famous Shanghai skyline of the Bund, where there always seems to be popping up new buildings, in the rain. It was raining quite heavily for a while and I was pretty much soaked when I met Wenying again and said goodbye to Songsong.

Wenying and I spend the first hours or so just killing time by walking around in a big shopping mall, raffles mall, and having some hot tea that wasn’t hot at all at a too expensive place. After that we tried to catch a bus to go back where at least one of us knew the restaurants but finally gave up and tried to find someplace where we were. This was all about a bet that I lost before, some of you might know of it as the 5 questions bet. We finally found a place that served Hong Kong food which at the point seemed as good as any, the food was quite ok actually, just a little bit too much flour on the deep fried pork in the sweet and sour pork and the dessert that on the picture looked like some piece of bread that you usually get in dim sum places in Hong Kong was just a flour coated whipped cream pie. All in all it was still good and we were satisfied, we took a taxi home instead of wasting time with the metro and busses, and it ended up being about the same price or even cheaper than it would have been taking the metro, the bus is not really comparable, it’s just a few (3) Yuen for a trip like that. Back at the hotel we tried to watch a movie that I have thought she would be interested in, but she had stayed up all night last night for some reason and just fell asleep after about 20-30 minutes, so we finally gave up and she just went back to her dorm, she is working tomorrow after all.

And now I sit here all alone without any internet, trying to cheery myself up by writing about the weekend’s events. I did have a good time here despite everything, and tomorrow night and leaving for other adventures in Beijing.

Transformers

Finally managed to get the computer up and running, it has taken a while since I'm only home in the evening and when I'm home I'm really tired after working all day, it's still quite fun though, despite that I've hardly had anything to do all week, mostly just sitting around trying to understand test reports and specifications, doesn't sound very fun but there are other things around it that is fun. I'm borrowing a T650i now, it's good looking and easy to type on, I kinda like it, and I'm doing my own private customisation on it, it least working on it. It might be that I can get dad's before I leave, he has one and doesn't like it that much.

Another reason that I didn't set everything up earlier is that we went to see transformers last night, and even though I was really sceptic, or maybe thanks to it, about it I really ended up liking it. The action was marvelous, and there was loads of fan treats, even the story managed to impress (probably thanks to really low expectations). The only thing I actually missed was the original intro theme, more original theme all together and a bigger Scorponoc and Devastator.

Back in Bjärred

So, now I'm kinda starting to settle in here in my parents house again, I've got too much stuff and too little room though, but the room I have is bigger than my bedroom in Sparta at least. The worst part is that I'll have to get up before 7 (which is like 15-30 minutes before when I got up when I still lived in Sparta) and will still not be at work until 8.30, which I hope is ok. I'll probably stay here almost the whole week anyway, Mats is leaving Lund on Thursday and he offered me to borrow his room in Sparta so I can be somewhat lazy in the mornings, so probably stay there during most weekdays and stay here in Bjärred during the weekends, maybe going to the summer house for a weekend or so too, at least 28th and 29th of June when we will celebrate Ville's birthday (which is on the 23rd).

First blog from Bjärred

Well, I can't really say I have moved in here yet because we just dumped all my stuff in the livingroom and the bed in the room I will use last night. Felt kinda weird to sleep at my parents place again, haven't slept here for 3 years except on christmas. But as long as I get to sleep in my own bed I will be happy. Mao Sai is noisy though and it smells kinda like cat food all over the place.

Going back to Lund now to do the final cleaning and throw some things away, I hope we will manage to clean it up nicely so we don't have to pay for stuff.

First week done, and moving out...

Well, one week has passed, nothing really special has happened, I got to borrow home a P1 phone, was actually kinda forced to take it and play with it actually. During the week I have tried to learn what to do there, I'm still not entirely sure, but it seems my main task is to support anyone who needs it so I more or less need to learn a little bit of everything which suits me perfectly since I'm just there for experience.

I'm starting to get to know the people there better too, some are less talkative but most are easy to talk to anyway, at least once you get a conversation started. I have one new hope before I quit, I want to make my own phone customization, which should probably be quite easy in a few weeks, I will just need a new cool phone first but I hope dad will get me that, haha.

Today I brought home another phone for the weekend, we get to borrow them a week if we want, but not more, there are some other test phones that I can borrow too but I didn't want to do that today. It's a W660i anyway, a walkmanphone, I don't know much about it though, just thought it looked neat and I felt like trying it.

Well, now it's time to pack up, throw away and move out, the whole apartment has been looking like shit the last few weeks and now we are at the culmination of it. Today is the day we throw away most of the junk and my parents are coming with a trailer move all the big stuff, and finally tomorrow we are doing the cleaning, I'm not looking forward to that. After that we will celebrate, or have a party at least, it will feel weird to leave, but I've only stayed here for 2 years and a month anyway and coming back in a year anyway. Kei is moving away for good though, will be weird to have a Lund without Kei I think.

...and starting to move out.

Well, after work the day didn't get any easier, I wanted to say goodbye to Carol today, she is leaving tomorrow and I haven't seen her in a month. I won't see her though, she kinda down prioritized me I think. What I did all evening was starting to clear out the apartment, two turns to the junkyard with mostly chairs, and old cupboard and two really old 14" or 15" monitors. But scheisse, the apartment still seems just as full, how the hell will we manage to clear all this out before the weekend?
