So it has happened; I bought a scale at IKEA yesterday and when I came home and could weight myself without too much clothes I found it, I have now lost more than 10kg since I left Sweden, that is rather cool.
To prevent loosing too much, or actually it was more to impress my friends, I made meatballs and mashed potatoes, complete with lingon-berry jam, cream sauce and all, last night and with Jane's inexperienced help they turned out perfect. Aaron and Kelly came and ate them with us and then we watch the latest South Park, lots of balls humor, hehe.
I would post a meatball picture if I had remembered to take any but I didn't.
The random ramblings of a confused man that just happens to like to make pancakes – with a random or not ping or five.
I now have pretty nicely set up life in Hong Kong; a nice job at a nice secondary school, a nice apartment not too far away from school and I can finally afford to go home for Christmas, both in terms of time and money, so I'm pretty happy here.
I also turned 25 for the probably 5th time already, it is too bad that I keep growing more gray hairs even though I'm not actually growing older (note to self: find a way to stop growing gray hair. 2nd note: lose some weight!)

Returned to the east I'm now looking to find a job in Hong Kong to stay there for about two semesters as well; I'm in Singapore for a short while first to visit all the friends I made while I was planning to get to Singapore on exchange, eventually I will end up in Hong Kong though and I already have an interview for a teaching job booked on October 2nd.
To begin with I will stay in a hostel in Hong Kong but once I have a fixed income and the needed working visa I'm determined to find a nice apartment for myself. Everyone is welcome to pay me a visit there at anytime, but I also intend to go back to Sweden over Christmas so don't plan in anything then.
This decision was made to keep my sanity and health intact, I'm sure that only one or two of the people ever reading this understand what I mean but let's just say that I need this right now and whatever is delayed back home can survive being delayed for a short while longer.

Back in Sweden I'm now looking for a job for the summer, I'm staying with my parents in Bjärred for the time being and will probably stay there until end of the summer when I have two options.
1. I'll go back to university, probably live a while longer with my folks until I find myself an apartmen for my own, and contiune with my studies, simple enough.
2. If I get enough money during the summer I want to try and get a job in Hong Kong for next term, or year, instead. This plan is less simple, I will of course take some exams in August before I leave again, then I will fly to Singapore or somewhere around there since I promised to visit, and of course it would be fun to celebrate our birthdays with Kelly on September 15th. Then I have to change my already paid flight from Shenzhen to Singapore to a flight from Singapore to Macau, which it seems I can do for almost no extra cost. Once I arrive in Hong Kong I will stay in a hostel and look for a job, if I can get it within a month it's all very well but more than that I think I will have to give up. It would be really cool to live and work there for a year though.
So between these options my choice is clearly number 2, but that one is only possilbe if I get a well paid summer job now. Wish me luck!
